The ruins of Dungeness
mansion, once owned by Thomas and Lucy Carnegie. Constructed
mainly of tabby like the slave houses at Sapelo Island, made by
burning oyster shells over a grate which turned the shells into a
powder to produce lime, the mansion boasted sixty rooms.
