Built between 1220 and 1258, Salisbury Cathedral is
early English Gothic style, as depicted by the exterior artwork.
The Cloisters and Chapter House were built in the middle of the
thirteenth century. The Cathedral was reformed in the 16th
century, while retaining its Catholic inheritance. Salisbury is one
of the 44 dioceses of the Church of England, and includes the most
of Dorset and Wiltshire.
